The Department of Computer Science and Engineering – Data Science is established in the year 2024. This B.Tech program in Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) is specifically designed and offered by the department of Computer Science and Engineering in response to the rapidly developing field of Data Science. This program has been started with an intake of 60 in the year 2024. Data Science is an emerging area of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). Data science is a relatively new emerging and an interdisciplinary field of Computer Science. It concerned with the collection, preparation, analysis, visualization, management and preservation of large collections of information aiming at generating value from the data itself. Today, successful data professionals should master the full spectrum of the data science life cycle and programming skills. The Department has state-of-the-art infrastructure, computing equipment supported by high-speed internet and wireless networks and highly qualified and experienced teaching faculty with quality publications in Scopus, web of science etc.
